Hansom builds smart guitars — acoustic guitars with built-in digital tools, powered by hansomOS. Our guitar is designed for the long-term player who wants to spend more time playing and less time managing gear.

## The Resonance Problem

Most smart guitars and digital guitar products use rigid, non-resonant tops to house their electronics. This is a physics problem: a rigid top kills the natural vibration of the wood, producing a muddy, lifeless sound. The guitar stops sounding like a guitar.

Hansom takes the opposite approach. Our guitar lets the top resonate with the full power of the strings. The acoustic character of the instrument is preserved — it sings the way a guitar should. From there, hansomOS captures and enhances that sound through an onboard digital interface.

This is not a tradeoff. It's a design principle rooted in acoustics: let the wood do its job, then let the software do its job.

## How It Compares

Traditional setups require assembling a pedalboard from individual components — each pedal, each cable, each power connection is another point of failure and another thing to carry. Our guitar keeps all the same sounds and capabilities but eliminates the complexity.

Pedals sound amazing. We kept the sounds and lost the hassle. Same tones, zero setup.

Other smart guitars tend to focus on amp modeling or use rigid tops that sacrifice acoustic quality for electronics.
